The brand was founded in 1974 in California, USA, by Mike Sinyard, who started by importing custom-built bicycle parts from Europe. He had a vision of creating bicycles that combined technology and innovation in a way that could take cycle sport to a whole new level.

He had a vision of creating bicycles that combined technology and innovation in a way that could take cycle sport to a whole new level.
In 1981, Specialized launched one of the first mass-produced mountain bikes, the Stumpjumper, setting the direction. Specialized has since developed into a highly respected bicycle brand and today produces everything from high-end road bicycles to city bikes and electric bicycles – all designed with the same focus on performance, innovation and comfort.

Every bicycle is dismantled, inspected and rebuilt. We replace worn parts, adjust gears and brakes and test-ride it before putting it up for sale.
